Students from the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) recently gained first-hand exposure to the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, and industrial innovation through a special sharing session featuring TESLA Malaysia.

Organised by APU’s School of Computing (SoC), the session titled “TESLA’s AI Overview and Life at TESLA” introduced students to the real-world applications of AI and the fast-evolving technologies shaping the global industry.

Held on 30 April 2026 at APU’s campus, the session featured Mr Marc-Jon D Silva, Head of Recruitment (Human Resources) at Tesla Malaysia, alongside Assistant Professor Ts Dr Maythem Kamal Abbas Al-Adilee from SoC.

One of the key highlights of the session was the discussion surrounding TESLA’s humanoid robot, Optimus, which provided students with deeper insight into how AI-driven automation and human-like interaction are being developed in today’s technology landscape.

Students were introduced to the role of AI in TESLA’s innovations, particularly in autonomous driving systems, smart sensing technologies, machine learning, computer vision, and real-time data processing. The sharing demonstrated how these technologies are applied to improve vehicle safety, operational efficiency, and intelligent decision-making.
